Classification of Aircraft


The Aircraft can be classified mainly in two type which is AEROSTAT and AERODYNE.

AEROSTAT

it's a lighter than air object that can stay stationary in the air. Aerostat include free balloons, airships and helikites. An aerostat's main structural component is its envelope, a lightweight skin containing a lifting gas to provide bouyancy, to which other components are attached. These aircrafts are not used except balloons.


AERODYNE

 it's a heavier than air aircraft, deriving lift from dynamic motion through the air. All the commercial as well as military aircraft fall under this category. These aircraft are used widely.
